Illaga Utara Puncak, PenKoopsTNI – The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Thursday, 11 July 2024, one Post of the 323 Task Forces, the Mayuberi Post led by First Lieutenant Yudo, conducted territorial activity by distributing free basic necessities to the community living around the Post. The residents of the Mayuberi Village, Illaga Utara District, flocked to queue to fulfill the invitation to receive the distribution of basic necessities with joy.
In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the 323 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, conveyed the importance of the Task Force’s attention to the basic needs of the community in the assigned area. Therefore, before the activity started, 1LT Yudo led the preparation of basic necessities packages that would be given free to the residents. By still prioritizing safety factors, the Soldiers distributed the packages in turns to the residents who were present at the Mayuberi Post.
When the basic necessities were distributed, the Mayuberi residents who received the distribution expressed their joy with big smiles while saying thank you. A Papuan mother named Martina Murib even said, “Praise God, Commander 323, thank you for the basic necessities. God bless TNI.”
“The creativity of the 323 Task Forces to distribute basic necessities in the Mayuberi Village is the TNI’s effort to provide services for the basic needs of the community, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region,” said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
